Immunization Requirements for Middle School

All middle school students must have a TDAP vaccine before entry into PWCS. This is a vaccine to prevent tetanus, diptheria and pertussis. This is a Virginia department of Health Regulation. No student can enter school without this vaccine. If your rising 6th grader is not yet 11 your doctor may or may not give this booster. If your doctor determines that your student is too young a note written by the doctor must be presented to the school in order for the student to be admitted. If you have any questions concerning this or any vaccine please check with me or with your elementary school nurse. Please see Immunization File to the right for further information.
